Spring break work outs and schudle http://nnhsxc.org/nnhspf/sb2010.mht
Finally................Spring Break has arrived!! I hope and wish all of you a
fun and safe break!

Remember, for those of you out of town, there will be workouts posted on our
website, www.nnhstrack.org, by the end of today. Please do them. Even if you
have to adapt to your vacation spot (maybe a staionary bike instead of running,
push ups instead of weights, etc.). It is important that you do not allow your
body to be a week behind in conditioning. We have worked really hard to where
we are at now, so lets keep taking steps forward!!

For those of you in town, there will be practice from 8am to 10am. I will be on
the track at that time. Also, I will open the weight room at 9am for those that
will be lifting. I will be glad to get you shot puts, discus, hurdles,
basically whatever you need to get your coaches workouts completed. We will end
practice with some games too. If it is raining, I will meet you by the athletic
office and we will go from there.

Enjoy your break!! See some of you on Tuesday!!

What a week!! We have many awards to give out tomorrow at our meeting. Many of you who competed last week earned either a "cupcake" or a ribbon/medal or both. As a coaching staff, we were pleased overall of your performances. Our goal last week was to compete, for everyone to get a personal best or very close to, and to go into the outdoor season with a positive feeling. I believe we have accomplished what we wanted. Are some of you disappointed with your performance? Yes. That means you are a competitor and wanting to improve and to get better. There is nothing wrong with that!! This week: Monday: meeting in Room 184/awards!!!sign up for Wednesday's meet/agenda for the week and spring break expectations Tuesday: normal practice/parent meeting at 6:00 in the large cafe--please say something to them now if you haven't before Wednesday:practice for some----meet for all others/we are hosting the "last chance" meet/Wheaton South, Wheaton North, and Naperville Central/meet is scheduled to start at 4:30/we will need most if not all of your help in running this meet Thursday: last practice before spring break I hope everyone enjoy's their Sunday. My NCAA bracket is completely busted. Thanks Kansas!! See you tomorrow. Coach El

Results from York
I have noticed a lot of guys yawning and looking tired.  Make sure you are
getting your rest and organizing your time wisely.  Don't put things off so you
are stuck doing an assignment until 2am.  Your performance in the classroom and
the track will improve if you get more sleep.

Nutrition.  There are a lot of temptations in our school (vending machines)to
eat unhealthy.  Try to eat as healthy as possible.  This will help your energy
level and your attentiveness in class.  Rest and Nutrition go hand in hand.

Airband is coming up.  We have to learn from the past.  Have fun but know where
the line is.  All of you are a representation of anyone associated with the
track team.  That is a responsibility that we all carry.  Take pride in it.  Be
a leader.  Have people follow you because you are doing the right thing.  Don't
follow the crowd just because.

Bus times.  Freshmen on Thursday: 3:30
Varsity and Fresh/Soph on Friday: 2:30 field event bus
                                              3:30 everyone else
If you are on the 2:30 bus on Friday, you will have to leave   the
assembly at 2:20 if it is still going on

Friday at the assembly:  varsity will sit as a team (every spring athletic team
is doing the same) on the floor after our team is introduced

I know I announced on Monday, handing pamphlets out to many of you, and put it
on the website, but:

Meet the Coaches Night is at 6:00 in the large cafe on Tuesday, March 23rd.

Please encourage your parents to come.

You are all doing a great job.  Lets let our performances move us in a positive
direction going into spring break.
